We encourage the members of the firm to have a life and interests outside of the office, and also to give back to the community. In keeping with those objectives, Mr. Manos put together a classic rock band named "The Motions" which consists of three lawyers and a computer specialist. After years of playing music professionally and recording in their younger days, the band members put aside their music to pursue their professional careers. But they couldn't get rock & roll out of their system, so they're back at it. By day they are rocking the corporate world, and by night they are putting their musical talents to use for charitable events, fund-raisers, corporate functions and at local venues.
In the above photo, the band is performing at a charitable fund-raiser for the K.I.D.S. (Kids in Distressed Situations) organization. The benefit was a tremendous success and raised a lot of money for underprivileged children. Many clients, colleagues, judges, staff members, and friends come out frequently to see the band. The music is a wonderful enhancement to the firm culture and adds to the family atmosphere.
